Learning Center
The Learning Center is a multifaceted resource center that provides comprehensive academic support for the diverse learning needs of SCCC students/staff/faculty as well as members of the community at large.

We realize that, along the path to a certificate or degree, many students face various obstacles and challenges. Our job in the Learning Center is to help you navigate and overcome these obstacles. We provide instructional support to all students including tutoring, computers, tips on technology and information on how to connect with college and community support systems.

Examples of how we can help:

  1. Struggling getting your thoughts organized for a paper? Drop in for a group tutor session in WRITING – no forms to complete, no appointments needed. Just check out our “Open Writing Tutoring Schedule” and attend the session that is convenient for you. It’s FREE!

  2. Algebra may as well be a foreign language – it makes no sense! Drop in for a group tutor session in MATH – no forms to complete, no appointments needed. Just check out our “Open Math Tutoring Schedule” and attend the sessions that are convenient for you. It’s FREE!

  3. Do you have a disability which requires accommodation? Sign up as a member of the Disabilities Assistance Program (DAP).
Ask us about ways to connect with various community resources, such as Commission for the Blind and the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
