There is so much more to SCCC than great classes. College clubs, athletics, performances, fine arts programs, lectures, day trips and service learning all add to the total college experience. There is never a shortage of things to do here. We offer a number of
- academic and social programs
- leadership opportunities
- clubs and activities to connect you with students with common interests
- All of these will enhance your education and make sure you’ll have fun while you’re here.
Thousands of students participate in activities sponsored by student clubs, our athletic teams, the Student Government Association and the Office of Campus Life. When transferring to a four-year college, the activities you take part in are just as important as your grades. The key to a successful college career is to get involved and take advantage of all that SCCC offers.
“College Hour” at SCCC is every Thursday from 10:50 am – 12:05 pm. This is a block of time reserved primarily for student enrichment activities. Be sure to take advantage of the concerts, speakers, picnics, lectures, cultural celebrations and other fun events planned during College Hour each week. All campus happenings for the upcoming semester will be posted in the Office of Campus Life D105A, on the Cafeteria tables and in the Student Handbook.
We believe that co-curricular learning ensures student success, and the Office of Campus Life works hard to deliver quality programming we know you will enjoy. Our office is located in the Student Center, D105. Stop by to get involved and hear first-hand about all the great opportunities on campus.
